United (0) (Ronald Chikomo 67)

Extension Gunners completed a league double over Gaborone United with a 2-1 win in a highly charged encounter marred by controversial officiating at the Lobatse Stadium on Sunday. Gunners beat Moyagoleele by the same margin in the First Round. This time around, they hit the first goal in the 23rd minute by Hendrick Moyo. Poor officiating by referee Uyapo Julius however marred what could have been a spectacle.

It all started on the 20th minute when GU defender Gobonyeone Selefa brought down Chrispen Mbewe inside the box in full view of Julius but the middle man turned a blind eye amidst protests from the Gunners' camp. The situation was not helped by the referee being seemingly harsh on Gunners' players as he flashed cards at them while United players were given a verbal warning for similar offences. Gunners, however, continued to have an upper hand throughout the opening half and scored their second goal on the 41st minute through Maano Ditshupo. Ditshupo pounced home from a rebound after United keeper Reuben Thakadu spilled an earlier effort by Moyo. Gunners could have buried GU for good in the first half but failed to take their chances.
