Gunners, Comets waste chances

Lobtrans Gunners and Jwaneng Comets both avoided relegation by a whisker last season but they do not seem to have learnt much from that experience. They continue to miss scoring opportunities when other teams convert half chances and win games. Their game was dominated more by heart breaking misses and the 0-0 score line was a true reflection of the proceedings.

The two sides' Lobatse weekend affair proved just how difficult it is for their strikers to score goals even when the net is yawning and goalkeepers beaten hands down. The man who led Comets' charge last season, Ringo Rankgomo has left to join Flamengo Santos and clearly he has left a void. But many supporters might have sighed with relief when Boyo Radipotsane brought in Barulaganye 'Jomo' Bolofete to the mining town. However, Zebras' striker is still to live up to his "big" reputation.
