Gunners claim Lobatse derby

Monageng Thaele scored the only goal of the match to help Extension Gunners claim the bragging rights of Lobatse as they defeated BMC 1-0 in a close contest played at the Lobatse Council Stadium on Saturday.

The dreadlocked midfielder, who now skippers for Gunners following the departure of Ofentse Mmipi to BDF XI beat BMC goalkeeper, Cosmas Lombala on the far post with a low grass cutter in the 52nd minute. The goal followed a counter attack move initiated by Gunners goalkeeper, Takudzwa Ndoro who laid a long ball forward that BMC defence fumbled allowing Moamogedi Thatogo to dispossess and set up Thaele.
