GU suspends Sandaka, Gwandu

Crisis-ridden Gaborone United (GU) has suspended two influential players after allegations that they engineered the recent dispute over bonuses at the club.

Captain Itai Gwandu and striker Sageby Sandaka have been sidelined because the club thinks they were behind players' demand for higher bonuses from the P1 million they won for bagging the national title.

Although club officials could not be reached to comment on the issue, Mmegi Sport can reveal that the two Zimbabwean players were told to stop training after they were fingered as the ring leaders in the bonus dispute.
