GU Keep Their Dreams Alive

Gaborone United (GU) kept their title hopes alive when they whitewashed Mogoditshane Fighters 2-0 in a be MOBILE Premier League match played before a disappointing crowd at the UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After a disappointing first half, GU bounced back to clinch victory with goals from Kenny Ledikwe and Stephen Maposa in the second stanza.

The Reds are now patched on the second spot with 22 points from nine games and the win brought back confidence to their supporters that they can go all the way this season. The first half failed to produce any sparks but credit has to go to Fighters for frustrating their opponents. The Mogoditshane side gave their opponents little space and this left GU supporters wondering if a goal will come their way. In the absence of Zambian talisman Ronald Chikomo, GU never seemed like they would score a goal.
