GU, ECCO promise fireworks in Molepolole

FRANCISTOWN: Gaborone United (GU) mentor and his ECCO City Greens counterpart have promised to up the tempo in their teams' respective Mascom Top Eight Cup second leg encounters at Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday.

Major David Bright for GU and ECCO City Greens' coach Atshele Molapi made the remarks this Wednesday following GU's 2-1 league loss against the former at the Francistown stadium. ECCO, who host defending champions, Township Rollers  go into the match with key mid fielder Mmilidzi Zeco Makafiri the only doubtful for the match. The player picked a knock on Tuesday during a training session and had to be substituted midway through their game against GU on Wednesday.

GU who were booted out of the Confederations Cup over the weekend play Nico United. Moyagoleele drew first blood with a 2-1 victory in the first round.GU go into the match with several players doubtful for the clash. The likes of striker Tebogo Sembowa and hard tackling defender Tumisang 'Butcher' Sekanonyana picked up knocks early this week.  The duo did not form the contingent that travelled to Francistown on Wednesday.
