Gaborone United Secretary General, Hebert Letsebe yesterday denied rumours that they are targeting several players from log leaders Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the ongoing transfer window.

Second placed United have found it a tough road to dispatch Chiefs from the top of the table and it is now rumoured they are about to raid the Chiefs camp with a number of key players on their radar. The transfer rumour mill over the past week linked United to Chiefs midfielder Dirang Moloi, defenders Tshepo Motlhabankwe and Arnold Chaka and winger Galabgwe Moyana.

Over the weekend it was even rumoured that Motlhabankwe's move to GU was almost completed. Speaking to Sports Monitor yesterday, Letsebe said they are not after any players from Chiefs. "We heard those rumours, they are all over and we do not even know who started them," he said. He said GU has a good squad and they are not planning on expanding their squad in the current window, though they might add on a few new faces.
