GU crisis deepens as players continue boycott

Gaborone United (GU) players failed to train for the umpteenth time this morning as the cash crisis at the club refuses to abate.

The team was plunged into crisis following the resignation of chairperson and financier, Rapula Okaile last week.  Already the team was swimming in debt, as the players’ salaries are more than two months in arrears.

Coach, Rudolfo Zapata told Mmegi Sport this morning that the training session has been cancelled again as players demand their dues.
