GU, BDF XI to dominate Top 8 awards

GU won the knockout competition after beating BDF XI 2-1 in the final held at New Lobatse Stadium last month.The Player of the Tournament category has pitted two GU forwards, Tebogo Sembowa and Ronald Chikomo against BDF XI's attacking midfielder, Ofentse Mmipi.

The panel selecting the winner in the category will have a tough time trying to come up with the winner since all the three players were outstanding for the better part of the tournament. Mmipi was instrumental in steering BDF XI to the final, scoring beautiful goals in the process. The most notable were the two he scored against Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the first and the second leg of the semi finals. In the final, Mmipi was closely monitored by GU midfielder, Alphonse Modisaotsile and could not find enough openings.
