For the past two seasons, Rollers have been a dominant force in the league, winning it twice in a row. Under new coach, Elvis Chiweshe, GU have now taken advantage of an early slump by their city rivals to send a strong message about their intentions. They kicked off their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Nico United. On Saturday, they met a stubborn and determined Notwane under floodlights where, again, they triumphed. The victory puts them at the top of the league standings while Fighters are second due to an inferior goal difference.
