Golfer Marudu gets due reward for hard work

Trazinah Marudu has consistently performed well over the years and it comes as no surprise that she is one the women selected to represent the country at the 11th Women's All Africa Challenge tournament which Botswana hosts from June 2 to 8. Mmegi Sport Correspondent, CALISTUS KOLANTSHO chats to the soft-spoken golfer.

Mmegi: Who is Trazinah Marudu?

Marudu: I was born in Butale village some 38 years ago to Joseph Marudu and Zuziwe Msunduzwa. I come from Senyawe and grew up in Gaborone with my father. I went to Gaborone Senior Secondary School and then studied BSC-Microbiology at University of Botswana (UB). I worked for various organisations including the National Veterinary Laboratory, Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS), Botswana Ash and now I am working for NTR Technology Holdings as a quality assurance manager. I am a single mother to Lungani, who is studying Engineering at UB.
