GNT upset Gunners

FRANCISTOWN-Relegation candidates GNT over the weekend fought bravely to clinch an unlikely 3-2 victory against Lobatse giants Extension Gunners, after going 2-0 down inside 12 minutes at the Francistown stadium.

The visitors started the match like a house on fire, launching early attacks that gave the GNT defence led by Captain, Osenyeng Tsenang a torrid time. The Peleng boys never gave Tigers space to breath with their trade mark passing game.

Gunners' early attacks nearly produced a goal when exciting midfielder, Oteng Moalosi who masterminded most attacks lobbied a cross into the GNT box in the seventh minute, but Captain, Ofentse Mmipi blasted the ball wide with the goalkeeper only to beat. Gunners' efforts were rewarded in the 10th minute when Monageng Thaele beat GNT goalie, David Puso with a low drive  from  distance. Two minutes later Gunners added their second through Tchape Laundry Gay. Tchape received a pass from Moalosi, from the  resultant free kick within the edge of the goal area and unleashed a powerful shot that gave  Puso no chance.
