GNT to check ECCO's resurgence?

FRANCISTOWN: Former champions, ECCO City Greens' resurgence comes under the test when they face cross-town rivals, Great North Tigers (GNT) in a Francistown derby tomorrow. After a poor start to the season, ECCO seem to be gathering speed as they occupy sixth spot.

They enter the Francistown Stadium in high spirits after dismissing 2009 champions, Gaborone United (GU) last weekend. GNT have not had an impressive return to the Premier League and are languishing at the wrong end of the table in 15th place. ECCO will, therefore, start as favourites for the three points on offer.

The meat boys have chalked up four consecutive victories in the last five matches, while GNT are fresh from a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of log leaders, Mochudi Centre Chiefs.ECCO's improvement has been visible in the last four games, which has eased pressure on coach, Chris Tembo. GNT coach, Edward Leposo said he has been away, but is back with the team and ready for the ECCO challenge.
