Glittering awards night for basketball stars

The Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) held an award ceremony on Friday at UB hall to reward those who excelled in the 2011 season. The awards night was sponsored by Obama restaurant, Broadhurst inn, and active.

There were also individual prizes for the stars whose brilliance caught the eye during the season. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) from the ladies side went to BDF V's Orapeleng Leagajang who received a trophy. Spartan's Robert Mosalakatane was voted for the award on the males.The highlight of  the night was when the champions in both men and women categories  stepped on the podium to received their floating trophies and gold medals after the gruesome 2011 season described as both interesting and competitive on both the ladies and men's events. 

Women Champions BDF V received  gold medals and bags, while the victorious team on the men's side, Spartans also received gold medals, kit and boots. The runners up, Police V and Troopers from women and men's side respectively, were awarded the silver medals.
