Giant Killers and Wells share spoils

Giant Killers of South Africa and Wells of Jwaneng are this year's joint champions of Oseg-AP Mokoto Diamond Classic after playing to a 3-3 draw in the finals on Sunday.

The two sides will keep the trophy for six months each while the P10,000 first prize money will be divided equally between them. The last time there was such a deadlock in a local softball final was 1996 between Vikings and Paper Club.

Wells men made it to the Oseg-AP Mokoto final on Sunday after eliminating Rail Giants of Mahalapye while Giant Killers walloped unlucky BDF IX. BDF IX seemed to be on course to reach the final when they raced to a 4-2 lead against Giant Killers in the third inning on Saturday but unfortunately, the game was stopped because of darkness.
