Gatalamotho peep Police IX

Jwaneng outfit Gatalamotho left it until late to finish off a fired up Police IX in an exciting Shell Softball League match played at the National Diamond on Saturday.

The two teams were tied on  4-4 with with 30 minutes to go before Gata's top four super sub Thabang Motlwaditse came in and had the final say.Gata made a perfect start to the game, scoring their first four runs in the first two innings. Bryan De Keker got them off to a good start with a home run early in the top one inning.

He was back again with another home run in the top two inning. But before that, Phetolo Marabu and Vincent Tubane had stretched their lead to four runs. Police IX then put up a strong fight in the bottom one inning in an effort to draw level. With all bases full, Abel Oaitse and Messe Boago got two runs after Phibion Tawana's well taken strike that eluded Gata's catchers.
