SuperSport United captain Mogogi Gabonamong has not ruled out staying with the Pretoria side despite reports linking him to two other South African clubs.

The former Engen Santos star's contract with Matsatsantsa a Pitori comes to an end next month and, in recent months, mounting speculation has linked him to Moroka Swallows and Amazulu. He confirmed to Mmegi Sport that he was holding out for an improved deal after the club expressed interest in extending his stay.Despite strong interest from Swallows and Usuthu, the Zebras' midfield star explained that he was still looking to come to an agreement with SuperSport.

"I would love to stay at SuperSport - it's a good team with great ambitions. They always buy good players and prepare well. But at my age I cannot settle for any contract, I need to agree on a deal that I will be happy with," Gabonamong said. Gabonamong struggled to land a regular place in SuperSport's starting line-up at the beginning of the season, but struck a rich vein of form towards the end. His turning point was when he broke SuperSport's run of draws in February as he fired them to a 1-0 win over University of Pretoria. Gabonamong said he would weigh other offers this week. "I still need to meet a couple of people this week. There are two or three clubs that are interested, but I will give my current club first priority. I'm meeting them (SuperSport) this week to discuss a new contract," Gabonamong said.
