Francistown Stadium Behind Schedule

FRANCISTOWN: Francistown Stadium is 22 percent behind schedule, the construction company said when briefing the Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture, Gladys Kokorwe on the progress of the much-awaited stadium.

Project engineer for Qingjian Group Company, Robert Manyathelo, said they were far behind schedule because they could not source enough skilled manpower for some of the critical jobs.   Manyathelo said they need about 850 people to complete the job in time but they are nowhere close to that figure yet.

"We have 556 people we needed 850 and now we might even need a 1, 000 the way we are behind schedule," he said.
