Fraizer vows to make amends

Fraizer has come under heavy criticism from some of his teammates and supporters after missing a crucial penalty during their high-profile Coca-Cola Cup quarterfinal clash against Mochudi Centre Chiefs in Francistown last Saturday. With the score reading 0-0, ECCO were awarded a penalty in the 75th minute and many people expected top striker and captain Malepa 'Chippa' Bolelang to take it. But Fraizer stepped forward and blasted the ball over the Noah Maposa's goal. The miss gave Magosi a lifeline and the game was decided in post-match penalties where Fraizer's agony continued. Chiefs won 5-4 with the young striker once again failing to score his penalty, shooting straight into Maposa's legs to complete a miserable afternoon. After the second miss, Fraizer covered his head with his shirt in shame and disbelief as teammates consoled him. When Zecco Makafiri missed the last penalty to send Chiefs into the semis, Fraizer could hardly raise his head.
But yesterday, he told Mmegi Sport that he is ready to put the Saturday disaster behind him and help his side finish in a better position in the Premier League. ECCO are currently sitting on third spot with 48 points from 24 games. "Right now, I feel that I owe our supporters and I will have to be at my best against Police XI. I want to continue doing well for the team and forget about what happened on Saturday," he said.
