Four clubs apply for BAA affiliation

Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) affiliates will tomorrow converge in Palapye for their Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Among the items on the agenda will be applications for affiliation by four new athletics clubs from Matshelagabedi, Lobatse, Serowe and Tlokweng.

BBA spokesperson, Ipolokeng Ramatshaba, told Mmegi Sport that it will be up to the BAA general membership to make a decision on the applications. Although he could not reveal the names of the clubs, Ramatshaba said two of the four clubs applied in the past, but were told to sort out some sticky issues by the general membership. He said it appeared the application bore the same signatures and were told to sort that out.
