Former IRU referee to grace BRU golf day

Former International Rugby Union (IRU) referee, Jonathan Kaplan will be the guest at the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) golf day on November 29. The golf day will be held at Phakalane Golf Estate.

BRU president, Bob Lekan told Mmegi Sport that the aim of the event is to raise funds to build BRU facilities, especially a stadium. They do not have a target for the November 29 event.

He said the stadium's initial cost was put at P6 million. Lekan said the union spends a lot of money in hiring stadiums from various institutions when national teams are on camp. He said such money could be used for the benefit of the union.
