Former BMC spokesperson attacks chairman

Former club spokesperson, Themba Stimela who resigned last week together with vice-chairman Lawrence Wright has attacked Phiri for allegedly 'ruling with an iron fist'. Stimela said Phiri arbitrarily signed Donald Mopako, fired former coach, Kaiser Kalambo and appointed Enos Mmesi in his place. He said Phiri has a tendency of ignoring the decisions of the club's management committee.
"For instance, the majority of the committee members were against the signing of Mopako because of our history with the player. I cannot say why we did not want him signed because that would be making the player's private life public but the bottom line is that we had agreed as a committee that he should not be signed but the chairman went ahead and signed him," Stimela said.
