Football feast as play-offs get under way

FRANCISTOWN: Intriguing battles should be the order of the day as clubs seeking Northern Division One promotion take to the field in tomorrow's play-offs at Serowe.

Two top-placed teams after the second round of the play-offs that end on Sunday will qualify for the first division north. Mahalapye Hotspurs currently leads the other six teams at the play-offs with 13 points from six games.

In fact Mahalapye, who have played all their six play-off games, are already guaranteed promotion. They can either end on the first or second position depending on the results of the other clubs that are yet to complete their matches. Maun Terrors have accumulated 12 points from six outings while third placed Palapye All Stars have managed 10 points from five matches.
