Flying Doves hosts tourney to raise funds

FRANCISTOWN: Army side, Flying Doves will host a netball tournament in Ghantsi from tomorrow to raise funds.

The theme of the tournament is 'Taking Netball To The People'. It will feature Jungle Queens, Gantsi Invaders, Gaborone Prisons and the hosts Flying Doves. In the men's section, there will be Ghantsi Invaders and Flying Doves.

Flying Doves team manager, Oarabile Ramontshonyana said the aim of the tournament is to raise funds to assist Gantsi Invaders who failed to participate in this year's league due to financial problems. "The aim of this event is to take netball to the people and fund raise. We will have a chance to meet the management of Gantsi Invaders and see how we can help," he said. Ramontshonyana said their aim is to hold the event annually.
