FRANCISTOWN: Francistown Flames got a walkover on Saturday after Cadets of Gaborone failed to appear for their basketball league duel at BDF Donga Courts. Cadets have consequently lost the game 20-0 to Flames. The development is sweet music to the Flames’ camp, as this has got the potential of strengthening their title chase.

Flames have been enjoying good form since the beginning of the season.

For Cadets, failure to honour may invite further punishment from the Botswana Basketball Association (BBA). In addition to conceding 20 points for failure to honour a fixture, Cadets are likely to face a disciplinary action for their behaviour. BBA has been working extra hard to come up with a product in the form of a well-managed league that is sellable to sponsors.
