FRANCISTOWN: There was flair, passion, tension and tears at the Francistown Stadium on Saturday afternoon when holders Mochudi Centre Chiefs visited their hoodoo side, ECCO City Greens in the Coca-Cola Cup quarterfinal clash. In the end, it was Chiefs who proceeded to the semi-finals after beating ECCO 5-4 in post-match penalties.

Both sides played brilliant football but failed to find the back of the net in 90 minutes and referee Keabetswe Dintwa had no choice but to use the dreaded penalties to decide the winner. It was sweet victory for Chiefs who have struggled to beat their opponents in the last four years.

There was drama outside the field as officials from both sides engaged in a war of words.
