Gaborone based golfer, Malebogo Morebodi will become the first Motswana woman to compete in the Windhoek Lager Africa Jacket Golf Championship that starts in the Namibian capital tomorrow.

Morebodi booked herself a spot in the competition after accumulating sufficient points in three Botswana Golf Union (BGU) major tournaments. She participated in the Botswana Closed Championship (100 points), Jwaneng Open Championship (120 points) and Botswana Classics Championship (38 points).

Morebodi told Mmegi Sport before her departure that she was excited to have won herself a ticket to the competition.
