First Division resumes with top-of-the-table clash

The First Division South League resume this weekend with a top of the table clash between leaders Killer Giants and second placed Jwaneng Comets tomorrow.

Only one point separates the two sides and as hosts, the battle hardened Comets start as favourites to win the match and dislodge Killer Giants from pole position. Comets will go two points clear if they beat Killer Giants, which lead the standings with 19 points. A draw will be good for Letlapeng which will be joint top if it collects maximum points from Kumakwane Checkers on Sunday. Letlapeng is third with 17 points followed by Tlokweng United with 15. Eastern Tigers which has only won one game, is at the bottom of the 12 team log with five points. The first round games will end next weekend.

The First Division League was supposed to resume last weekend but was postponed to give room to launch a new sponsorship on Tuesday. The launch did not take place and has been postponed indefinitely.
