First Division North title race reaches boardroom

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The race for the First Division North League title reaches the boardroom tomorrow when the competition organisers hear three cases whose outcome will have a bearing on who gets automatic promotion to the Premier League.

So far FC Satmos is leading the standings with 45 points, three ahead of Mahalapye Hotspurs. First Division North secretary, Moraole Sikwane, told Mmegi Sport that Satmos cannot be declared winners until the committee deliberates on the three cases.

The committee will deliberate on the fate of the match between Satmos and Maun Tigers that was abandoned 20 minutes from time and the re-match between Great North Tigers (GNT) and Hotspurs. Then there is the complaint of Hotspurs that Orapa Wanderers failed to produce players' registration books during the game between the two sides.
