A fired up Prisons shot down Flying Doves 41-29 in an exciting My Spar, My Botswana Southern Region Netball League match at the BONA Courts on Saturday. It was a stunning comeback from Prisons who earlier crashed out of contention for a top four place after losing to BDF Cats.

The warders beat Doves without the trio of Smolly James, Segolame Mantaga and Kutlo Phokoje - who were all unavailable due to work commitments.

Doves failed to capitalise on their opponents' fatigue especially in the opening quarter. Prisons had just come from playing defending champions Cats, a match they lost 57-28, and did not get time to warm up while Doves were playing their first match of the day. After a closely contested first quarter, Prisons came back more solid at the back in the second quarter. They made sure Doves' shooters were kept outside the goal circle.
