Mogoditshane Fighters is seeking legal advice after it was fined and suspended from football activities over match-fixing allegations in the Premier League promotion play-offs.

Fighters' public relations officer, Mokganedi Nkopo told Mmegi Sport that they are consulting their lawyers after they got a copy of the judgement.

"We received the judgement yesterday (Tuesday) and have since sought legal advice on the matter to see if we did anything wrong and if we deserved such punishment. As far as we are concerned, we did nothing wrong in our game against Jwaneng Comets and we strongly suspect that some individuals are out to destroy our team and we would not take it lying down," Nkopo said. Fighters were slapped with a P10,000 fine and a six-month suspension after they lost 12-1 to Comets in the play-offs last Saturday. The Mogoditshane side was already out of contention when they played Comets and fielded defender Bakang Onnetse as goalkeeper.
