FC Platinum ready to release Mogorosi

FC Platinum's new signing of Joel Mogorosi could be released to South Africa's ABSA Premiership side Bloemfontein Celtic without kicking a ball after the player reportedly wrote to the Zimbabwean club requesting to terminate his deal with them.

Mogorosi signed a two-year deal with the platinum miners in March this year after his former Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs coach, Rahman Gumbo, recommended him. The former Rollers skipper was set to move to Zvishavane, FC Platinum's base, on July 15 after the club paid P400, 000 for his services.

But last week's events that saw Gumbo being shown the exit door swayed the speedy winger to request termination of the deal. Gumbo was fired on Monday last week after a string of poor results. The development means Mogorosi will no longer move to Zvishavane as the two parties have agreed to focus on the talks with the South African suitors.
