Fans Cry Foul Over Exorbitant COSAFA Games

When COSAFA gave Botswana another chance to stage the COSAFA Castle Cup games at the National Stadium, they were impressed by the attendance during the regional competition hosted in Gaborone last year.

Before the draw for this year's event was made, COSAFA stated clearly that whichever group Botswana was drawn in, the games would still come to Gaborone. That was because they were impressed by the passion of local supporters who made the games such an unforgettable event. In 2005, the Zebras' supporters painted the Namibian capital, Windhoek, blue, black and white, something, which did not go unnoticed. Some of the irate fans poured scorn on the Botswana Football Association (BFA) for being inconsiderate when deciding the charges.
