Ex-volleyball player turns to officiating

BDF VI volleyball player, Tiro Setlhare has retired to focus on officiating. The player has been doubling as an umpire.

Recently, he gained full umpire status after attending an international course in Bangkok, Thailand. After his return from Thailand, he said the course was an eye opener in many ways. At the International Referees Candidate course, he was introduced to the new laws of the game. He said the knowledge he gained from Thailand will greatly improve Botswana volleyball officiating standards. 

With his qualifications, Setlhare is confident that he can officiate at international level.
