Ex-Fighters coach accepts fate

The former Mogoditshane Fighters coach, Newman Gaobone will move on with his career after being relieved of his duties this week.

According to letter, the reasons behind his dismissal by the new executive committee is that they could not meet his demands and therefore opted not to continue with him after his probation period expired. Gaobone said: "I do not know what probation period they are taking about because my contract is coming to an end in October. However, I have decided not to challenge them on the issue. I prefer to move on with my career."He said that the demands the letter is talking about is the proposal he made about new players he wanted to sign for Mogoditshane Fighters, either on loan or on long term contracts. "It was just a proposal. They should have called me so that we could discuss the proposal and see whether it was possible to get the players or not."

He said that some of the players that he wanted at the club included among others, Thato Ramatebele and Dylan Chivandire, while he was still at Gaborone United (GU). Others include Kenamile Mani and Kabo Rasuping. His dismissal could be a blessing in disguise as it gives him an indication that the new committee came with an agenda, he said "I do not think that I would be comfortable working under them if all they have done in the short period they have assumed office is how they are going to operate," he added.
