ECCO wants Nico stars

ECCO City Greens are keen to lure Master Masitara and Master Masuku from Nico United. The Francistown based former national champions are likely to get Masuku but face an uphill task to recruit Masitara, because Nico is not willing to release the reigning Premier League joint top goal scorer.

Nico spokesperson Matlhale Malepa told Mmegi Sport that ECCO have approached them for the services of the two Zimbabwean players. "ECCO and Motlakase have written to us about Masitara but I have to say he would not be joining any of them because he has a contract which still has 12 months to go," Malepa said.

"As for Masuku, he is likely to join ECCO because although we are keen to have him, he has approached us and indicated that he wants to leave. I think he is no longer interested in playing for us and we would not stop him (from leaving). I believe he has compared the ECCO offer with what we have been giving him. He has indicated that he wants to move to ECCO to be closer to home," Malepa explained.
