ECCO still to find suitors

The 2006-2007 Premier League champions, ECCO City Greens are still struggling to find suitors following Botswana Meat Commission's (BMC) decision to stop sponsoring the club.

ECCO together with BMC were informed of the beef processing company's decision to halt the sponsorship in March this year. They were told to look for either sponsors or buyers who would take over the running of the two clubs as the company plans to completely pull out by the end of October. The club chairperson, Bothibedi Latlhang said no one has shown interest so far with just about four months remaining before BMC slams its door on the Francistown side."After the decision, we set up a committee that will try and find potential sponsors or buyers. We have met few but we have not been successful," Latlhang told Mmegi Sport. He expressed hope that they will eventually succeed, as they want to see team moved forward."I have to say that BMC have helped us a lot and take this opportunity to thank them for the support they have shown to us over the years," he said.
