ECCO Blazing The Trail

FRANCISTOWN: After their last Saturday bruising encounter with Jwaneng Comets in Francistown in the Last 16 of the Coca- Cola Cup, ECCO City Greens' mentor Max 'Malume' Moyo could not wait to find their quarter final opponents.

For the chubby ECCO mentor, it was a case of one more in the bag, after overcoming the visitors (2-1) whose roughhouse tactics nearly proved a handful for the Mamojadiski's strikers. This prompted a relieved Moyo to say afterwards: "They came here just to kick us all over the field. And they nearly achieved their aim. I do not know whether they were playing football or rugby, but certainly that was not football they were playing."

As for who their next opponents would be in the last eight, Moyo was not fazed. With a swagger obviously brought about by the numerous victories ECCO has notched up since the beginning of the second round of the be MOBILE Premier League, Moyo declared: "We do not mind who we are drawn against. Let them come. We shall be ready for them."
