Dube's comeback bid shattered

Former Botswana Athletics Association (BAA)'s spokesperson, Glody Dube quick comeback bid has been shattered after the mother body ruled out holding elections during their weekend's ordinary general meeting (OGM).

Dube was suspended from the association last year before the July elections, but has since been cleared of any wrongdoing.After the BAA committee was dissolved, the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) executive secretary, Kitso Kemoeng barred Dube from seeking re-election as he was suspended.

The outspoken Dube has demanded fresh election after a commission of inquiry cleared him of any wrongdoing.However, his adversary, Ipolokeng Ramatshaba, has ruled out elections. Ramatshaba, who replaced Dube as the BAA spokesperson, said the constitution, and not an individual - governs the running of elections.
