One of Botswana's representatives at this year's Toyota Kalahari 1,000 Desert Race, Keith Du Toit is hoping that his car, which won the race in 2006, emerges the winner this year.

At the time the car won the race in 2006, it was used by previous owner, Nick Harper, who finished first in the special vehicles category. Du Toit bought the car in 2010 from Harper. He finished in the seventh position last year after experiencing mechanical problems during the race.  "There was a problem with the engine when we were half way in the race on a Saturday.
