It was a two fold victory, when Dinare's women's side, dismissed BDF IX 6-2 before their men's side, narrowly beat the soldiers 1-0 in Shell Softball league matches played on Saturday at the National Diamond.

Dinare ladies put up a decent performance to dismiss their disjointed opponents. The two teams played with caution in the opening inning, before Dinare bagged their three runs in style deep into the bottom two innings. They got their first two successive innings after substitute, Esther Bitsang's hit went past third base, allowing her and Babedi Mogwera, who was already in second base, to garner a run apiece. Moments later, Kesego Segwe, rooted at third base, capitalised on their opponents blunder as they failed to stop  Ogomoditse Mokibe's low hit. Segwe easily got the third run for Dinare.

The top three innings was another drab one with the only significant thing being Lebopo Otlhamile's fly ball that Dinare failed to catch. However, Otlhamile was taken out before she could get a run for the soldiers.
