The team finished in the driver's seat with 16 points followed by Rollers with 14. Untouchable and Prisons finished in the third and fourth positions respectively with 12 points each. Lobatse side Roosters finished eighth and last with no point. The clubs will be rewarded today at the Lekidi Football Centre. The winners will walk away with P1,750 while the runners-up will go home P1,250 richer. The-third placed club will get P750. Losers with be consoled with P280 each.
Women Football Committee (WFC) chairperson, Senki Sesinyi said they have learnt a lot from the tournament. He stated that that the sponsors were impressed by the organisation of the event. He hailed the Botswana Football Association (BFA) for its support during the tournament. "If it was not for them, the tournament would have failed. If we can continue to work together like this, we will go places," he said. He added that they realised that no matter how small the women game might be, nothing is impossible to a willing heart. He said the tournament helped them to sell themselves to potential sponsors. The women's game is currently struggling to secure sponsors. As a strategy to impress potential sponsors, organisers invited different companies to the games. Pro-Guard managing director, Obert Pelotshweu was impressed by the organisation of the tournament. He said the large number of spectators showed that women football is not as young (sic) as many people think. "Most of the players have talent that only needs to be cultivated," Pelotshweu said. He added that they intend to continue their relationship with the women's game. He said there are a few things that WFC needs to iron out before they can discuss their way forward. Pelotshweu was worried that some members of the committee interfered too much with clubs. "In some cases, it looked like some members wanted to push their interest and I think that is a problem that need to be addressed urgently," he said.
