Double Action Prepare For Title Defence

The chairman of national women soccer champions, Double Action is confident that his charges will defend the title when the league starts.

Senki Sesinyi said the sponsorship they recently got from NTR Technologies has boosted their confidence. He stated that they would do everything in their power to give their sponsor value for its money. 'No escape from the rock' as the team is affectionately known is currently working on beefing its squad in preparation for the league.

Double Action has won everything on offer since women football was resuscitated three seasons ago. They scored another first when they became the first women club to get a sponsor. Sesinyi said their secret of success amidst challenges is honesty and trust. He said it is always important for the club to inform all stakeholders especially players what they are going through whenever they have problems. Sesinyi added that though they have won everything, they now have to guard against complacency. He said they take every team seriously and that is why they always do well. He denied that there is no competition in the women league. "All teams are tough and the level of competition has really improved since the league started three seasons ago," he stressed. He said his team has grown and their dream is to become professional some day. Double Action is the only women club that has exported players' play abroad to Namibia and South Africa.
Sesinyi implored other clubs to work harder to source sponsors.
