FRANCISTOWN: With a nickname derived from the US currency, the Dollar - ‘Dollas’, born David Marman, was regarded as TAFIC’s expensive asset during his heydays as a hard-tackling defender.

Born here at Tshingwane ward 68 years ago, Dollas started his football at Tonota Primary School in 1965 while staying with his aunt.

After completing his primary education he moved back to his parents’ house in Francistown. He went to what was then Clever Hume College of South Africa, now Setlalekgosi Junior School in Francistown. He kick-started his career at TAFIC, which was already a household name then.
