Discontent at Masitaoka

Trouble is brewing at Molepolole First Division side Masitaoka. Disgruntled supporters are putting pressure on the club managers to explain the team's failure to move away from the bottom of the log. One section of supporters calling themselves the 'Concerned Group' demanded a meeting with management, which was to be held last night. Another group of supporters is also demanding a separate meeting with the consortium running the team.

Masitaoka had a good second round last season standing in the way of Prisons XI and Killer Giants and effectively killing the two clubs' title ambitions. Killer Giants' title charge went up in smoke when they lost at home to Masitaoka just a week before their final game against Naughty Boys in Tlokweng last season. Prisons XI overcame the Kweneng side in a controversial replay after convincingly losing the first match.

However, this season Masitaoka have been ailing. They are stuck at the bottom of the log and their fans are frustrated. The club managers and fans are engaged in accusations and counter-accusations. The fans put the blame squarely on management for the dismal performance. But the managers believe some supporters who were against their appointment are sabotaging them.
