Difofane still in financial doldrums

FRANCISTOWN: Difofane Volleyball Club is still struggling to shake off the effects of financial volatilities the club has been facing for the past two years fuelled by lack of sponsorship.

Difofane continues to suffer from the corporate world rejection as the club is failing to clinch a sturdy sponsorship deal despite noticeable signs of growing response from companies in terms of pouring money into sports. Madala Madala, Difofane founding coach, painted a gloomy picture of his club's financial prospects when contacted for a comment.

He told Mmegi Sport that his club will not be part of this year's Mascom Volleyball League due to financial constrains. Madala said his club's financial woes continue to worsen each year. The founding coach said his intention was to bounce back during the approaching season but it would not happen. He said he continues to hit a snag when confronting the corporate world for sponsorship. "It would not be possible for Difofane to compete in this year's volleyball league. Our financial statement is in tatters. And we are in dire need for financial help from the corporate world," said the founding coach.
