Defiant BDF XI goes to court

BDF XI has taken its case against the Botswana Premier League to the High Court over the postponement of their Sunday fixture against Mochudi Centre Chiefs to Tuesday.

The matter will be heard this morning before Justice Mercy Garekwe at the Lobatse High Court. BDF XI insist that they should play Mochudi Centre Chiefs in a league match on Sunday, a day after the Botswana champions played their South African counterparts, Kaizer Chiefs.  The club is seeking an interdict against the BPL over the postponement of the fixture to Tuesday.

The BPL, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) are cited as respondents in the case. "Our lawyers have gone to court.
