It continues to pour at the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC). The sports mother body has in the recent time been regular features in the media for all the wrong reasons.

News reaching Mmegi Sport is that chairperson Solly Reikeletseng is being investigated by the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) allegedly for sponsoring Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture Shaw Kgathi's political campaign in the 2009 general election. Kgathi would later appoint Reikeletseng Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) interim chairperson as well as BNSC chairperson.

While those close to the matter opine that there could have been nothing wrong with Reikeletseng sponsoring Kgathi, who is his close ally, the problem emerged when he immediately gave him the two positions something that is viewed in some corners as a conflict of interest. Reikeletseng and Kgathi's friendship is something that has come under the microscope several times. Some people within the sports fraternity have always questioned if Reikeletseng's appointed was legitimate or purely based on friendship.
