Date set for F/town youth football league

FRANCISTOWN: The first edition of the Francistown youth football development league kicks-off early next month without a sponsor.

The league will have Under-17 and Under-15 categories. Regional youth development league spokesman Galebolae Ngakane told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they could not start the league this year because the concept reached Francistown late. Ngakane pointed out that at their meeting last week, they have resolved to start the league early January to allow teams to be more prepared.

He said that the teams would be derived from the present Premier League clubs and others from lower divisions in and around Francistown.
