Crunch time for struggling sides

Be MOBILE Premier League strugglers, Motlakase Power Dynamos, TASC and Miscellaneous face an anxious fortnight as they attempt to escape relegation.

With the league reaching its penultimate stage this weekend, the Premier League office has scheduled games involving the trio to start at the same time tomorrow to avoid controversy. After a season in the top-flight, Black Peril returned to the First Division last week following a loss to BDF XI and the race is now on to decide the two clubs that will accompany them. The 13th-placed TASC host Gaborone United (GU) in Francistown in search of points to move from the danger zone.

The game promises to be a thriller as GU are still chasing third spot. A win for GU coupled with an ECCO City Greens' loss will see the Gaborone side finish third. TASC know a loss could all but shatter their dreams of staying in the Premier League. Miscellaneous are breathing down their necks after a surprise 4-1 victory over Uniao Flamengo Santos last weekend. The Serowe side is just one point behind TASC in 14th spot. Miscellaneous play Police XI at Otse Police College tomorrow in what is expected to be a hard-fought affair. Police XI are 10th and victory would take them to position eight if TAFIC and BMC lose their games. Interestingly, TASC and Miscellaneous play against each other in the last match of the season, which is likely to decide their fate.
